CONSTRUCTION INSTRUCTIONS
When it comes to using Webertec Non-Shrink Grout for your construction projects, following precise instructions is crucial to ensure the best results. These detailed construction instructions will guide you through the process:

1. Surface Preparation
1.1 Surface Cleaning:
- Thoroughly clean the concrete surface where you intend to apply the grout. Remove any oil, grease, and dust to create a clean and sound foundation.
1.2 Removal of Contaminants:
- Identify and remove any loose contaminants and unsound concrete by chipping or cutting them away. This ensures a secure bond with the grout.
1.3 Preparation of Contact Materials:
- Ensure that any materials, such as bedplates, bolts, pipes, or other components that will come into contact with the grout, are clean. They should be free from rust, oil, grease, and dust.
1.4 Surface Dampening:
- Dampen absorbent surfaces, such as the inside of the formwork, until they reach their saturation point. There should be no standing water inside the formwork, as this can affect the grout’s performance.
2. Mixing
2.1 Water-Powder Ratio:
- Calculate the required water-powder ratio based on your specific application. Typically, use approximately 3.75-4 liters of clean water for every 25 kg bag of Webertec Non-Shrink Grout. This results in a water-to-powder ratio of 15-16% by weight or 1:4 by volume.
2.2 Mixing Equipment:
- Use an electric mixer with a maximum speed of 500 rpm for optimal results. Alternatively, a pan or revolving barrel type mixer can be used.
2.3 Mixing Procedure:
- Add the pre-measured clean water to a mixing container. Gradually add the grout powder while mixing continuously. Ensure thorough mixing to achieve a uniform, lump-free consistency.
2.4 Stand Time:
- Allow the mixture to stand for approximately 3-5 minutes after mixing. This resting period helps achieve the grout’s maximum performance.
3. Application
3.1 Formwork Inspection:
- Examine the formwork to ensure that it is stable and free from gaps or openings that might allow the grout to leak. Properly secure the formwork in place.
3.2 Pouring the Grout:
- Carefully pour the freshly mixed grout into the prepared formwork. Ensure that the grout is evenly distributed within the intended area.
3.3 Air Entrapment Release:
- While pouring, pay attention to any air bubbles that may become entrapped in the grout. To release air, use a vibration tool or tapping to ensure that the grout settles uniformly.
3.4 Finishing:
- After pouring the grout, use a trowel or finishing tool to smooth the surface and create a level finish. Make sure that the grout is in full contact with the surfaces it is intended to support.
3.5 Curing:
- Proper curing is essential for the grout to reach its full strength. Follow the recommended curing procedures, which may include covering the grout with wet burlap or curing compounds.
By meticulously following these construction instructions, you’ll ensure that Webertec Non-Shrink Grout delivers the strength and reliability your construction project demands. Building on a solid foundation has never been this reliable.
