Fosroc Nitofill EPLV | Low viscosity epoxy injection resin
Nitofill EPLV is an epoxy resin specifically designed for sealing cracks in concrete or masonry and for plate bonding applications, offering several advantages and specific properties:
Uses
- Ideal for injecting into cracks in concrete or masonry to create a permanent bond or seal.
- Suitable for plate bonding applications such as bonding steel plates to reinforced concrete structures.
Advantages
- Low viscosity for excellent penetration into even the finest cracks.
- Formulated for hot climates.
- Suitable for structural repairs.
- Exceptional bond to concrete, brick, and masonry.
- Minimal creep under sustained load.
- Resistant to a wide range of chemicals.
- Non-shrink properties, ensuring no loss of bond.

Instructions for Use
Preparation
- Clean the surface thoroughly, removing any contaminants, dust, unsound material, oil, paint, grease, corrosion deposits, or algae.
- Blow cracks and treated surfaces with oil-free air to remove dust and loose particles completely.
Application
- Fix injection packers at intervals along the crack’s length for resin penetration. Seal the surface of cracks between packers with Nitomortar FC.
- For horizontal cracks, apply Nitofill EPLV directly into the crack or create a reservoir using putty along the sides of the crack.
- Thoroughly mix the hardener and base resin before application. Use standard injection equipment with closed containers.
- After completion, allow the injection system to cure undisturbed for 24 hours.
Finishing
- Remove packers or nipples. Repair any holes or voids with Nitomortar FC and allow it to cure. Remove excess material by grinding or softening it with a blow lamp and peeling it off.
Limitations
- Should only be used on dry or damp concrete or masonry.
- Not suitable for live cracks with expected further movement or in the presence of running water.
Estimating and Storage
- Available in 2-litre packs. Nitomortar FC and Fosroc Solvent 102 are also available in different sizes.
- Store in dry conditions in the original, unopened containers.
Precautions
- Health and Safety: Avoid skin or eye contact. Use suitable protective clothing and gloves. Work in well-ventilated areas. Seek medical attention in case of contact.
- Fire: Fosroc Solvent 102 is flammable. Keep away from sources of ignition. Use appropriate extinguishing agents.
