QUICSEAL 608 PLASTERMIX (Type I)

Product Description:

QUICSEAL 608 PLASTERMIX (Type I) is an acrylic latex admixture designed to be mixed with cement and sand, enhancing the quality of screeds and renders. It improves cohesion, adhesion strength, and provides resistance to water, mild chemicals, and weathering effects once cured.

Uses:

• Improving water resistance and quality of screeds and renders for internal and external applications.
• Enhancing cohesion and adhesion strength of screeds and renders.
• Laying tiles and natural stones with the conventional system.
• Adhesive slurries for bonding screeds and renders onto concrete, precast panels, and waterproofing membranes.
• Key (splash or spatter) coat before rendering.
• Form finishing coats with cement and fine sand.
• Strengthening thin plaster coats.
• Improving strength and durability of patching mortars.

Substrate Preparation:

Ensure substrates are clean, sound, and free of dust, loose particles, oil, grease, paint, wax, or any substance inhibiting adhesion. Remove unsuitable mold release agents or curing compounds. Dampen the substrate (without ponding water) before screeding or rendering. For porous surfaces, treat with QUICSEAL 113 PRIMER C before application.

Mixing: Stir QUICSEAL 608, pour into a clean container, add the appropriate cement and sand, and mix slowly until a homogeneous consistency is achieved.

Applications:

1. Adhesive Slurries:
   • Mixing Ratio:
     • QUICSEAL 608: 1 part by weight
     • Cement: 1.5 parts by weight
   • Apply slurry coat before screeding or rendering. Fresh application is essential.
2. Key Coats (Splash or Spatter Coats):
   • Mixing Ratio:
     • QUICSEAL 608: 1 part by weight
     • Cement: 1.5 parts by weight
     • Sand: 1.5 parts by weight
   • Apply before screeding on smooth surfaces.
3. Screeds and Renders:
   • Mixing Ratio (Less than 10mm thickness):
     • QUICSEAL 608: 1 part by weight
     • QUICSEAL 602 THIN-SET POWDER: 4-6 parts by weight
   • Mixing Ratio (More than 10mm thickness):
     • QUICSEAL 608: 1 part by weight
     • Water: 1 part by weight
     • Cement: 4 parts by weight
     • Sand: 12 parts by weight
   • Apply in coats, not exceeding 15mm thickness per application.
4. Patching Mortars:
   • Mixing Ratio:
     • QUICSEAL 608: 1 part by weight
     • Cement: 2 parts by weight
     • Sand: 4 parts by weight
   • Apply after applying an adhesive slurry coat.

Coverage:

• Adhesive slurries and key coats: Approx. 0.2 ~ 0.3 kg/m2
• Screeds and renders (per 10mm thickness): Approx. 0.5 ~ 1 kg/m2

Cleaning: Clean tools and hands with water before the mortar sets. After setting, cleaning becomes challenging and may require mechanical means.

Health & Safety: Non-toxic and non-flammable. Avoid prolonged skin contact. Wear gloves and goggles. In case of irritation, seek medical advice.

Packaging: Supplied in 5, 20, and 200 kg drums.

Storage: Store for 12 months in a cool and ventilated place in the original packaging.
