Specification Clause
All indicated areas shall be waterproofed with LeafSeal WP502, a two-component reactive polymer composite or similar approved, manufactured according to the specified standards. The material shall be applied at the rate of 0.8 – 1 kg per m² per coat (2 coats required) following the manufacturer’s recommendations.
Packaging
Available in two pack sizes: 30kg set, Comp A – 20kg & Comp B – 10kg
Shelf Life
6 months when stored in the original unopened packaging.
Coverage
Approximately 0.8kg – 1kg per m² per coat.
Surface Preparation
Ensure the substrate is clean and sound, free of dust, loose particles, grease, or any other contaminants. The substrate must be damp but free from standing water.
Mixing
Pour the liquid component into a clean pail, and slowly add the powder component while stirring using a slow-speed drill mixer until the mixture is homogeneous and free of lumps. Do not mix more material than can be utilized in one hour. DO NOT RE-TAMPER WITH WATER.
Application
Apply the mixed LeafSeal WP502 using a stiff bristle brush, roller, or trowel. For heavy depressions (6 – 10 mm), honeycombs, etc., use a thicker mix by using slightly less liquid component. Apply the second or subsequent coats after the previous coat has dried. The second coat can be applied after 1-2 hours of curing of the previous coat. Protect the construction area without standing water after 24 hours of construction.
Storage
Conditions of storage are the same as those for cement, i.e., damp-free, preferably palletized.
Cleaning
Tools and equipment should be cleaned immediately with water.
Product Limitations
- Concrete substrate must be thoroughly prewetted before the coating is applied.
- Part mixing is not recommended.
Safety Data
LeafSeal WP502 is a cement-based product and should be handled and treated with caution. Avoid contact with eyes and wear a face mask to prevent dust inhalation. Seek immediate medical assistance should irritation or ingestion occur.
