Specification Clause:
The non-shrink grout used shall be LeafSeal BC010, a premix mortar suitable for flowable and pumpable consistency, used in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations.
Packaging:
Available in 25kg multiply paper bags.
Storage:
Store in damp-free conditions, preferably palletized.
Shelf Life:
6 months when stored in the original unopened packaging.
Coverage/Yield:
Approximately 0.013 m³ per bag (76 bags per 1m³).
Surface Preparation:
Ensure the substrate is sound, clean, and free from loose materials. Wet the substrate with water, ensuring no free surface water is present. For large areas, use an appropriate bonding agent such as LeafSeal AD655. Formwork or saw-cut edges may be required to control expansion.
Mixing:
Mix the correct proportions as indicated on the packaging using a mechanically powered grout mixer for optimal workability. Avoid conventional or hand mixing, as it may result in lower workability.
Placing:
Once mixed, do not re-tamper with water. For flowable or pumpable consistency, place LeafSeal BC010 into formwork from one side only to avoid air entrapment. Use a rod or strapping to assist in placement. Place in a continuous operation to eliminate voids. Do not vibrate, and LeafSeal BC010 may be placed in thicknesses up to 50 mm at one pour.
Cleaning:
Clean tools and equipment immediately with water.
Curing:
Ensure good curing on all exposed surfaces, especially under dry or sunny conditions. After finishing, apply a relevant coat to all exposed surfaces or use alternative curing methods.
Safety Data:
LeafSeal BC010 is a cement-based product. Handle with caution, avoid contact with eyes, wear a face mask to prevent dust inhalation, and seek immediate medical assistance in case of irritation or ingestion.
