QUICSEAL 510 Non-Shrink Grout
Product Description:
QUICSEAL 510 Grout is a ready-to-use cementitious non-shrink grout designed for various applications. It is non-metallic, chloride-free, and requires the addition of water to produce a free-flowing non-shrink grout.
Advantages:
- Economical and easy to use as a premixed cementitious grout.
- Non-corrosive, ensuring no corrosion to rebar, staining, or deterioration due to rust expansion.
- Chloride-free composition allows high early strength development without the use of chlorides.
Uses: QUICSEAL 510 can be used in plastic or flowable consistency states in various applications such as:
- Bedding bearing plates.
- Precast applications, including bedding precast units like walls, slabs, refuse chutes, and filling precast joints and gaps.
- Small patch repairs.
Application:
Surface Preparation:
- Ensure surfaces are clean, sound, and free from laitance, oil, and grease.
- Remove defective concrete until sound concrete is reached.
- Saw cut repair locations and break out the complete repair area to a minimum depth of 10 mm.
- Remove loose scale and corrosion deposits from corroded steel.
Mixing:
- Add the specified amount of water to a clean container.
- Slowly add QUICSEAL 510 powder and mix with a slow-speed drill until a homogeneous and lump-free consistency is obtained.
Placing:
- For horizontal application, apply well-mixed QUICSEAL 510 to the prepared surface at a thickness of 10mm to 40mm in one layer.
- For vertical applications, adjust the water-to-dry mix ratio for a drier consistency.
- Scratch-key intermediate layers before applying subsequent layers.
Curing:
- Allow QUICSEAL 510 to cure naturally in ambient conditions.
- Protect against rapid drying due to wind, direct sunlight, or high temperature by covering with polythene sheet, wet hessian, or QUICSEAL 507 Cure-Shield WB curing compound.
Technical Data:
- Compressive Strength: > 55 N/mm² (ASTM C942: 1999)
- Shrinkage: 0% (ASTM C940: 1998a)
- Setting Time: Initial setting > 1 hr, Final setting < 10 hrs (ASTM C953: 1987)
