LEAFSEAL BC030 | READY MIXED NON-SHRINK GROUT, PUMPABLE
Product Description:
LeafSeal BC030 is a ready-mix dry powder, requiring only the addition of water to produce a non-shrink grout with pumpable consistency. With medium-speed compressive strength growth, LeafSeal BC030 reaches over 20MPa at the age of 28 days.
Formulated as a non-shrink, non-metallic, chloride, and nitrate-free grout, it exhibits low water requirements for high early strength and long-term durability. The silica sand grading aids uniform mixing and minimizes bleeding and segregation.
Features and Benefits:
- Shrinkage Compensation System:
- Incorporates a shrinkage compensation system.
- Non-Metallic, Chloride, and Nitrate-Free Grout:
- Formulated as a non-metallic grout without chloride and nitrate.
- Medium Compressive, Flexural, and Bond Strength:
- Exhibits medium compressive, flexural, and bond strength.
- Reduced Coefficient of Creep:
- Reduces the coefficient of creep.
- Pre-Weighed Quality Controlled Unit:
- Supplied as a pre-weighed, quality-controlled unit.
- High Ultimate Strength and Low Permeability:
- Ensures high ultimate strength and low permeability for durability.
- Superior Workability for Pumpable Consistency:
- Provides superior workability for pumpable consistency.
Application Range:
- Concrete repair and floor patching.
- Filling cavities, gaps, and joints between brick walls, concrete, aluminum frames, and recesses.
Specification Clause:
The non-shrink grout used shall be LeafSeal BC030, a premix mortar suitable for flowable and pumpable consistency. Use in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations.
Packaging:
Available in 25kg multi-ply paper bags.
Storage:
Store under conditions similar to cement, i.e., damp-free, preferably palletized.
Shelf Life:
12 months when stored in the original unopened packaging.
Coverage/Yield:
Approximately 0.013 m³ per bag, equivalent to 76 bags/m³.
Surface Preparation:
Ensure a sound and clean substrate. Remove all loose materials. Wet the substrate with water, ensuring no free surface water before installing LeafSeal BC030. For large areas, use an appropriate bonding agent from the LeafSeal BC series. Formwork or saw-cut edges may be required to control expansion.
Mixing:
To achieve the desired consistency, the water-to-powder ratio is approximately 0.12 – 0.15 (or 3.0 – 3.75 liters of water per 25kg bag). For optimal results, use a mechanically powered grout mixer. Conventional or hand mixing may result in lower workability. Pour 80% of the measured water into the container, gradually add the dry powder, add the remaining water, and mix until the desired consistency is achieved. Wait 2-3 minutes before continuing to mix. The process typically takes 3 – 5 minutes. Do not mix more material than can be installed and finished within 20 minutes.
Placing:
Once mixed, do not re-tamper with water. For flowable or pumpable consistency, place LeafSeal BC030 into formwork from one side only to avoid air entrapment. Use a rod or strapping to assist in placement. Place continuously to eliminate voids. Do not vibrate, and LeafSeal BC030 may be placed in thicknesses up to 50mm at one pour.
Cleaning:
Clean tools and equipment immediately with water.
Curing:
Good curing is essential on all exposed surfaces, particularly under dry or sunny conditions. Failure to do so will affect bond strength and durability. After finishing, apply a relevant coat to all exposed surfaces or cure by other alternative methods.
Safety Data:
LeafSeal BC030 is a cement-based product. Handle with caution, avoid eye contact, wear a face mask to prevent dust inhalation, and seek immediate medical assistance in case of irritation or ingestion.
