HYPERPRIMERTM US – One Component, Low Viscosity Polyurethane Primer
Description:
HYPERPRIMERTM US is a one-component, low viscosity polyurethane primer designed to cure with atmospheric humidity, forming an elastic membrane with strong adhesion to various surfaces. This product is recommended for use as a primer for polyurethane/acrylic waterproofing coats on diverse surfaces such as concrete roofs, metal roofs, fibrous cement, gypsum, cement boards, tile floors, external walls, lift pits, bathrooms, kitchens, balconies, and wet areas. It is also suitable for polyurethane foam insulation and can be applied to both new and old acrylic or polyurethane waterproofing coats.
Limitations:
- In very porous concrete, the material may penetrate to an extent that no film is created on the surface, requiring subsequent coating to achieve a dust-free primed surface.
- Avoid application under conditions of extreme wetness, imminent rain, or near-freezing temperatures.
Advantages:
- Excellent adhesion to various substrates.
- Deep penetration into the substrate.
- Fast drying time.
- Easy to apply.
Application Procedure:
Surface Preparation:
- Remove loose and deteriorated materials using a high-pressure washer or mechanical wire brushing.
- Eliminate efflorescence, mold, mildew, dust, dirt, laitance before coating application.
- Fill traces of chiseling or holes with mortar (cement/sand ratio: 1/2) with HYPERLATEXTM.
Mixing:
- HYPERPRIMERTM US should be manually stirred with a suitable object before application.
Application:
- Apply HYPERPRIMERTM US on substrate surfaces using a brush, roller, or spraying machine.
Consumption:
- 0.1 ÷ 0.2 liter/m2
Packaging: Available in metal pails of 1 liter, 5 liters, and 20 liters.
Shelf Life: 12 months minimum in its original unopened pail, stored in a dry place at a temperature of 5 ÷ 25 oC. Once opened, the shelf life will be shorter, so use it as soon as possible.
Health & Safety Information:
- Contains volatile flammable solvents. Apply in well-ventilated areas, away from smoking and naked flames.
- In closed spaces, use ventilators and carbon-active masks. Note that solvents are heavier than air, so they may accumulate on the floor.
