MasterSeal 555 – Flexible, polymer cement waterproofing slurry
DESCRIPTION
MasterSeal 555 is a two-component product consisting of Part A (liquid) and Part B (powder), forming a flexible waterproofing coating with excellent weathering resistance and crack-bridging capability upon mixing.
RECOMMENDED USES
MasterSeal 555 is ideal as a waterproofing membrane below concrete, mortar, tiles, etc., suitable for applications in:
- Flat and pitched roofs
- Wet areas like bathrooms and kitchens
- Terraces and balconies It is also applicable as a waterproofing coating for various concrete structures such as:
- Bridge parapets, beams, and pillars
- Reservoirs, sumps, and tanks
- Foundations below and above ground
However, it’s not recommended for use as a trafficable membrane. For this purpose, it’s advised to protect the cured membrane by covering it with concrete or tiles.
FEATURES AND BENEFITS
- Flexible nature: Bridges cracks up to 2 mm during normal movements.
- Water vapor permeability: Allows the surface to breathe, preventing vapor pressure buildup.

APPLICATION
Surface Preparation: Ensure surfaces are structurally sound, clean, and free from cement laitance, loose particles, oil, grease, etc. Fill irregularities with a MasterEmaco repair mortar for a smooth surface. Saturate the substrate with clean water before applying MasterSeal 555.
Mixing: Mechanical mixing using a slow-speed electric drill is recommended. Gradually add Part B to Part A, mixing for at least 2 minutes until a homogeneous consistency is achieved.
Placing: Ensure the treated area is shaded from direct sun and wind to prevent rapid drying of the coating.
