- Dry to Recoat (+25°C, RH 50%): 24 hours.
- Full Hardening: ~7 days.
Appropriate Primers on Usual Substrates:
- Concrete, Cement Screed: Revinex® (diluted with water 1:4).
- Metal (Iron, Steel): Neotex® Metal Primer.
- Inox, Galvanized Steel, Aluminium: Neotex® Inox Primer.
Instructions for Use:
Substrate Preparation:
- Ensure the surface is stable, clean, dry, and free of dust, oil, grease, and loose materials.
- Remove poorly adhering materials and older coatings.
- Mechanically or chemically clean the surface to create optimal conditions for adhesion.
- Ensure appropriate slopes for water drainage.
Application Conditions:
- Substrate Moisture Content: <4%.
- Relative Air Humidity (RH): <80%.
- Application Temperature (Ambient – Substrate): +10°C min. / +40°C max.
Priming:
- Apply the appropriate NEOTEX® primer before applying Neoproof® PU W.
- For cementitious substrates, use Revinex® diluted with water, Silatex® Primer, or Vinyfix® Primer.
Application:
- After priming, apply Neoproof® PU W in at least two layers by roller, brush, or airless spray.
- Dilute the first layer with 5% clean water, and subsequent layers apply undiluted.
- Apply each layer in a vertical or different direction than the previous one.
Special Notes:
- Do not apply under wet conditions or if rain is expected during application or curing.
- Maintain substrate temperature at least 3°C above dew point during application and curing.
- Apply sufficiently on vertical surfaces (min. 30cm) to form a uniform waterproofing membrane.
- Durability is enhanced by increasing the total dry film thickness through additional layers.
- Reinforce with Neotextile® in areas with stagnant water.
- Create suitable joints and expansion joints as needed.
